Samsung Galaxy S2 White: Confirmed, coming to UK, release date 1st September

Samsung has confirmed, in a very official press release, that a white version of its smash-hit Galaxy S sequel will arrive in the UK, with a release date set at 1st September 2011. And we found a bigger picture of the phone to gawk at.

We’ve raved about the Samsung Galaxy S2; so much in fact we’ve even managed to get one for our readers to win. Grab more details at the link.

Clove has already announced that it’ll be stocking the white wonder, with a sneakily early preorder release date of 15th August. We’ll wait to see if this gets pushed back following Samsung’s announcement.

Sharing all the specifications of its shady brother this includes a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, and eight-megapixel camera capable of full high-definition video-recording. There’s also that 4.3-inch Super AMOLED plus screen. No specifics just yet on what tariffs UK phone networks will be offering alongside the phone. Samsung say it’ll be available across the big five networks.

With a release date set, it looks like you’ll be able to grab one ahead of what’s expected to be the month that will see the unveiling of the next generation of iPhone – whether it’s a whole new trendblazing phone, a smart-priced budget version, or both – and Windows Phone 7’s second string of phones packing its new Mango software update.
