The Samsung Galaxy S2 still rides high on a wave of success (10 million sales, don’t you know?), but Samsung’s not been resting on its smartphone laurels, according to leaked publicity shots of what looks like a Samsung Galaxy S3.
The picture was sent into Phandroid as an anonymous tip, and shows three Samsung smartphones: the original Galaxy S, the S2 and what purports to be the S3. There are specs included in the grainy blurb next to the S3 picture, and we can apparently look forward to a 1.8GHz dual-core processor, 3GB RAM and a 4.6-inch screen.
These specs would nestle the S3 between the current S2’s 4.3-inch Super AMOLED+ screen and that of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note, that “new category” of smart device which comes packing a 5.3-inch display.
The publicity shot promises an (internal) announcement sometime in October this year, so this is presumably set for a reveal sometime next year, most likely at MWC in February. Real deal or balls-out fakery? Give us your analysis in the comments below.
