Samsung Galaxy S3 video leaks: specs revealed

A video allegedly showing the Samsung Galaxy S3 has appeared online, along with juicy specification information, hinting it will have a 4.6-inch screen,  quad-core processor and extended battery.

Vietnamese tech site Tinhte revealed the video, ahead of its launch in May. Not only that, the site managed to spend enough time to really clear up some rumours about its specifications.

From what we can gather, the supposed S3 uses the same lightly rounded corner design as its processor, the Samsung Galaxy S2 with that mildly ovoid glasswork on the front which has already cropped up in previous imagery.
S3 frontBeyond the notable design cues, this device uses the model number GT-I9300 meaning it falls in line with the naming convention Samsung has used for its previous Galaxy flagships, strengthening the legitimacy of this device.

Specs shape up as follows, with a 4.6-inch 720×1184 resolution (320ppi if you include the space for on-screen Android navigation buttons), a 1.4GHz quad-core CPU with a gig of RAM and 16GB storage with microSD expandability account for number crunching and storage abilities too.

To round off the feature set, the S3 will offer users a 12MP camera, NFC and a mammoth 2050mAh to suitable power that thirsty CPU.

Unfortunately Tinhte’s video footage was removed before we could take a look at it, but Engadget made a copy which you can check out down below.

As we’ve said already, the official launch won’t take place until the Samsung Unpacked event in London on May 3rd, so we’ll find out if this really is accurate then.
