Sony Ericsson LT26i Nozomi in black surfaces in the wild

What looked to be press renders of the so-called Sony Ericsson Nozomi emerged earlier this week, along with what could be some early glimpses of the rumoured Aoba and Nypon Sony phones.

Xperia Blog has managed to get some in the wild shots of a black version of the Nozomi. It’s running on something that looks a lot like Android, though it’s hard to say right now if this is a skinned version of Ice Cream Sandwich, Gingerbread or just a clever piece of modding.

If it’s an early build of the phone then it could well be Gingerbread – it looks a lot like a tweaked version of the custom UI seen on phones like the Xperia Arc.

The three glowing dots at the base of the phone look to be softkeys in place of where the back, home and home buttons of Xperia phones generally sit.

In the previous render we saw, the buttons looked to be physical, sitting on the strip that’s glowing in the above picture.

The Sony Ericsson Nozomi is said to come with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.3-inch 720p display, 32GB of internal storage and no microSD. The camera is rumoured to be a 12-megapixeler, which we’d expect would feature a low-light sensor like that of the Arc et al, and would hopefully support 1080p video recording.
