One of Sony Ericsson’s latest additions to the Xperia family, the Xperia Arc is reportedly suffering from stock shortages, which are said to have been caused by production issues following the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan
Speaking to Mobile Today, a Carphone Warehouse spokesman said that they, “currently have stock shortages of the Arc in some of our stores”, but that they were set to receive a shipment “soon.”
Vodafone currently expects stock to arrive in the next 3-4 weeks, and it looks like that tardy delivery on release day is still affecting their stock, while Three, O2, T-Mobile and Orange are reporting no problems with their stock level just yet, but told Recombu that they are checking stocks and we’re waiting an update straight from their stock-rooms.
UPDATED: Orange and T-Mobile have said although there are issues with thesupply-line of the Xperia Arc, they haven’t been affected and the phone is still in stock.
The Xperia Arc is a return to form for Sony Ericsson, we raved about the eye-popping screen, and high-end camera setup. Running Android 2.3, with improved multimedia widgets and functions from Sony Ericsson, we gave the phone four stars.
The Xperia Arc is available in blue and silver, Orange also have an exclusive black version if you’re feeling particularly moody.
