Vodafone look to be firing the first salvo in the iPhone 4S pricing war, dropping the cost of their iPhone 4S handsets for Voda customers looking to pick up Apple’s latest smartphone on contract.
Apple fans after the 4S on 24 month contract can now nab a 16GB model for £239 up front on a £26 per month contract – down £120 on Vodafone’s initial deal.
Similarly discounted are the 32GB and 64GB versions of the iPhone 4S, which will now set you back £359 and £449 up front on the same £26 per month contract. The contract includes 100 minutes, 500 texts and 250MB of data. It still isn’t exactly what we’d call a bargain, but then again, this is an Apple phone you’re buying.
If forking over triple figure sums for an iPhone 4S sends shivers down the spine of your wallet, then Vodafone’s cheapest per month contract that will net you the 4S handset for free is £46 per month – £5 per month more than the cheapest deal currently offered by a network provider, O2’s 24 month deal of £41 per month.
