White Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming February 6th: pre-order now

We’ve just heard news that one of our favourite smartphones the, Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available in white from early February.

Independent UK phone retailers Clove and Mobile Fun have confirmed they will be stocking white versions of Samsung and Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich equipped Android smartphone from February 6th and is it available to order now.

Clove first broke the news on it’s blog. The  unlocked handset will cost £498 (including VAT). This is the same as the silver version, so there’s no premium for the white version.

Mobile Fun is selling the phone for £519.99 (inc VAT). It’s also unlocked and it’s £10 more than the 16GB black version.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the first phone to runs Google’s new operating system Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. When we reviewed the phone we were impressed by the generous 4.65-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 1280x720p resolution; powerful dual-core processor and the new refined electric blue Tron-style interface.

Following the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Galaxy Note  the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the latest in a trend for phones to launch in white as well as black. Check out our favourite white mobile phones here.

It appears official photographs of the white Nexus aren’t available yet, so we’re not sure exactly what it looks like, but we’ll bring you pictures as soon as we get them.
