Sky Sports Football League first 2015/16 fixtures announced

Sky has revealed fixtures for the first Sky Bet Football League games for the 2015/16 season. 

Kicking off with Brighton and Hove Albion vs Nottingham Forest on Friday, August 7, Sky Sports will broadcast three live games across the opening weekend, including Leeds United vs Burnley on Saturday, August 8 and Preston North End vs Middlesbrough on Sunday, August 9. 

Sky will show a total of 127 live matches including the playoffs and all three finals from Wembley, and has exclusive broadcasting rights to Football League games until 2018

Sky Sports Head of Football Gary Hughes said: “Last season’s Championship was one of the most exciting in recent memory and what you can guarantee with the Football League is competitive games from the opening weekend to the final day of the playoffs.

“With more games than ever on Sky Sports we’ll be able to show more of that story, and cover more clubs up and down the country that the fans are so passionate about.”
